Discharge from the outpatient department

The administrative staff will call you directly to your room on the day of discharge, in the late morning or early afternoon, to avoid a tiring and unnecessary wait at reception.

Discharge formalities

If you are covered by social security, all hospitalisation costs will be covered by third-party payment by the Assurance Maladie:

• the fixed daily rate, the PAT (Participation Assuré Transitoire). For more information, please visit this site.

• any additional fees (payable to the doctor), unless your mutual insurance company or supplementary insurance covers all or part of these expenses.

• the cost of telephone calls (not covered by the mutual insurance company)

• any hotel supplements: the cost of a private room, television, accompanying beds, additional meals, etc. (not covered by the mutual insurance company).

You may leave the establishment :

• either by your own means
• or, if your state of health justifies it, by ambulance, light medical vehicle or taxi (transport voucher prescribed by your practitioner).

You can choose the transport company; you will have to pay the costs in advance, which will be reimbursed by social security.

Please note: any outing not authorised by a clinic doctor is the sole responsibility of the patient. Patients will be asked to sign a document stating that they have fully understood and accepted all the information given by the care professionals and that they are leaving under their own responsibility.
