Preparing for your stay in the outpatient department

We advise you not to bring any money or valuables with you during your stay. If you do bring them, please hand them in at reception against a receipt. If you fail to do so, the clinic declines all responsibility in the event of theft.

House rules: These are posted on the door of your room, and you are advised to read them carefully.
Here is an overview of these rules:

The clinic asks you to respect a certain number of rules to ensure that everyone's stay is as pleasant as possible:

• take note of the instructions posted on the floor in the event of fire
• unaccompanied children are not allowed to use the lifts
• pursuant to the decree of 22/01/2007, smoking is prohibited in rooms and throughout the clinic.

Please also read the "contract for a good stay", which encourages mutual respect between patients and carers.

Your personal belongings

For reasons of comfort, hygiene and safety, we ask you to take the following recommendations into account:

• Make sure you bring your own personal linen (including nightwear), toiletries (including towels and gloves) and non-slip slippers;

• For hygiene reasons, we ask you to bring your own thermometer;

• Dental prostheses, hearing aids and glasses cannot be taken to the operating theatre; they must be handed in to the nurse before any operation;

• Do not bring money or valuables (jewellery, etc.). The clinic accepts no responsibility for loss or theft.

The room

The Clinique de l'Essonne bedroomThe clinic has single rooms?and rooms with 2 beds, all equipped with functional furniture and a fully-equipped bathroom (shower, washbasin, toilet).

If you would like a single room, please make a reservation when you pre-admit. This will be subject to availability at the time of your admission.

If no single room is available on your arrival, every effort will be made to find you one as soon as possible.

In single rooms, you may, if you wish, request an accompanying person's bed (a supplement will be charged).

If necessary, you can call the nurses or floor staff from your room at any time.

Practical facilities

The clinic provides a number of services to make your stay as pleasant as possible:

• a hairdresser, beautician or medical chiropodist. If you would like them to visit you, please ask the care team or the switchboard.

• Mail is delivered every morning. You can send your mail by leaving it in a letterbox on the ground floor or have it delivered by a member of the care team.

• You may receive a visit from a minister of your choice on request.

• You may use the marked parking spaces in front of the clinic. Please do not park in the reserved spaces or obstruct traffic.

Visiting relatives

For the comfort of our patients, we would remind you that by order of the Prefecture of Police, visits by more than two people at a time are strictly prohibited.

Visitors are asked to leave their rooms when they are being treated. During visits, please maintain the silence necessary for the recovery of patients. It is forbidden to bring in potted plants and cut flowers in order to avoid any risk of infection. Similarly, pets are not allowed on the clinic premises.

In the maternity unit, only the baby's brothers and sisters are allowed on the ward.
